Water Softening Plant:
Water softening is the process for removal of total hardness comprising of both temporary as well as permanent hardness from clear water. Water softening plant consists of pretreatment block to produce clear water.Clear water is produced by removal of suspended solid, organic matter removal filters. The softening block contains Cation Exchanger for removal of cations such as calcium, magnesium, and iron. Strong and or Weak Acid cation exchange resins are used in the softening process.
Some of the applications for Softening plant are:
Boiler Feed Water in low pressure boilers.
Cooling water make up in cooling tower
Drinking Water Plants
Solvent Extraction Vegetable oil refinery
